Class of 2024
A Kansas native and lifelong athlete, Gary Woodland’s path to professional golf began on the basketball court before he turned his full focus to the game. After playing golf at the University of Kansas, he went pro in 2007 and quickly made his mark, earning his first PGA Tour win in 2011. His biggest career moment came in 2019 when he won the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, securing his place among golf’s greats.
In 2023, Gary faced a life-changing challenge—a brain tumor diagnosis. Following surgery and a long recovery, he returned to the PGA Tour, proving his resilience both on and off the course. Today, with multiple tour victories and a major championship to his name, Gary continues to inspire the next generation of golfers, proving that grit, perseverance, and passion can overcome any obstacle.
